they/them

Before beginning my private practice journey, I spent four years working as a mental health therapist at Seattle Counseling Service, the oldest LGBTQ-focused community mental health agency in the country. Working at SCS gave me to the opportunity to explore my therapeutic style, hone my skills, and provide support to a diverse array of individuals within the queer community. Prior to SCS, I spent several years as a research project director working in queer & trans health and sexual wellness. I obtained my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2015, focusing on integrative health approaches to interpersonal social work practice. During my Master’s program, I worked closely with and for the HIV poz community in Detroit by providing individual therapy and support group facilitation as a behavioral health intern. In past lives, I have been a birth doula, an abortion advocate, and a seasoned veteran in the food service industry.
I am a forever student and committed to unlearning the culture of white supremacy, capitalism, and patriarchy. I believe that the healing that takes place in individual relationships is the foundation for collective liberation, and therapy is one such space to facilitate that healing.

Having grown up rurally in northern Michigan, I recently relocated from Seattle back to my roots. I currently reside on a small farmstead in Benzie County, where I am an aspiring beekeeper & flower farmer, a Lake Michigan devotee, an all-seasons outdoor enthusiast, an amateur forager, and generally learning the joys & frustrations of land stewardship.
